Went down late afternoon and found two trailers betraying longboards were out. Rigged 8.5m and had 40 mins of just about planing before the wind disappeared. Sea inshore was quite nice but about a mile out was horrible; some strange current forming around the sandbanks. Squiz and Neil appeared form down the river and I advised Andrew and James agaisnt going out and wasting time in dieing winds - what a nice chap I am.
